Trip Start-up

 

After what feels like a lifetime (over 5 years), the Supsics are finally leaving the country! Don't worry, you're not getting rid of us that easily--we'll only be gone for a few weeks. Our travel skills are feeling a bit rusty, but hopefully, we are up to the challenge.

Here is an overview of our trip:

Day 1 -- Fly to Vienna, Austria

Day 2 -- Visit St. Stephen's Cathedral and try what is touted to be the best schnitzel in Vienna!

Day 3 -- Visit the Sisi Museum (Sisi was the Empress of Austria and considered the Princess Diana of her time) and attend a classical concert at St. Peter's Cathedral

Day 4 -- Fly to Budapest, Hungary

Day 5 -- Take a "Panoramic Budapest" tour and see The Count of Monte Cristo musical at the Operetta

Day 6 -- Board our Viking longship, the Lofn (see the map for our cruise route)

Day 7 -- Kalocsa, Hungary--ship excursion to Ascension Church with concert and horse farm

Day 8 -- Vukovar, Croatia--Croatia's War of Independence excursion

Day 9 -- Belgrade, Serbia--private tour and Tesla Museum

Day 10 -- Golubac, Serbia--excursion to Golubac Fortress

Day 11 -- Vidin, Bulgaria--excursion to Belogradchick Rocks

Day 12 -- Ruse, Bulgaria --excursion to Arbanasi and Veliko Taranovo 

Day 13 -- Bucharest, Romania--private tour

Day 14 -- Fly to Paris, France

Day 15 -- Visit newly-reopened Notre Dame

Day 16 -- Fly home
